Chargeback Issues, not notifying us when case opens

We have recently been hit by a charge back which states it was granted but we are not responsible for reimburisng. First one I luckily spotted when I was randomly looking what the charge back looked like as we never had one. We successfully defended it as the customer made no attempts to resolve the issue and we had no idea why they were claiming for their money back, but they reopened it without our knowledge so we have now missed the respond by date. Amazon has not notified us about this charge back being opened or re opened and as a result, the claimant has won the case with no appeal from us as there was no notification that the potentially fraudulent customer had reopened their charge back claim. Has anyone else had these issues? A TO Z claims show up with a notification so why isn’t the charge back claims?

Don’t you keep an eye on Seller Central, where A-Z’s, Charge backs and messages are listed?

same thing happend to me there was a charge back claim but there was no notification on seller central page. informed seller performance regarding this but totally ignored by them. they gave a very stupid answer saying this has been notified and will be notified in future ignoring that it has already affected my metrix. very poor service.

Chargebacks are supposed to show on the dashboard, where it says “chargebacks”, but they almost never show there. Usually, Amazon sends an e-mail to the seller to ask for additional information. Sometimes Amazon handles the chargeback with no contact with the seller at all.

Amazon funds all chargebacks for the reason “Unauthorised transaction chargeback”, which is in 99% cases

Seller is responsible for any granted chargebacks for reasons such as “Item not received”, “Item not as described”
