Custom - Trying to set it up!

Hello all.

I am wondering if anyone can help. We sell personalised raffle tickets and recently been approved for the “custom” option.

I am trying to work it out - and i think i either cant do it… or im missing something. But can you have an image and have for example a text box for customers to put raffle ticket title, price of ticket, draw date and prizes etc (and they see it coming up) so when i get the order i can just put it on our system and print them straight away?

Thanks all

Not quite sure what you are trying to say , but it seems you want to put a template in the image area for the client to complete after purchase and send to you .

Don’t know but I think after the client buys you may need to send them a template requesting details of what they want , and only than can you start the order

Yes you can.All our items are customised. You need to have a separate surface for each text field. I wish I could explain it to you easier, I had, and still am doing a lot of trial and error. For me the MOST frustrating is when the customer uploads their own photo for printing but type the pet’s name over the photo… :frowning:

Does this help?
Creating a listing using text customisation

Enable your product customisation:
Go to Inventory > Manage Inventory and click the Custom Products tab on top.
From the Manage Custom Product Listing page, click Enable Customisation to the right of the ASIN you wish to enable.
From the Edit Customisation Information page, upload your preview image under the Surfaces tab.
Note: The image must be exactly 400 x 400 pixels.
Name the surface and select Text as the Type of customisation under Customisation Details.
Note: To include both image and text in the same product listing, select Image as your customization type. To include only text, select Text as your customization type.
Select the number of customisation and click Add Customisations. For example, if you wish to offer name and date as your customisation inputs, select 2 as the number of customisations.
Enter the following information for each customisation:
Position: Specify the position where you would like your customisation preview to display on your 400 x 400 preview image.
Dimensions: Set the width and height of the text area in pixels.
Note: You can also click and drag your cursor to your desired area on the preview image to automatically update the position and dimensions. You can update this information any time.
Label: Specify a label for the text area. This is visible to the customer and should clearly specify what the customer is personalising. For example, Name or Date.
Character limit: Set your character limit for that customisation.
Name: Provide a name for this customisation as it would appear in the Order Reports. This is not visible to the customers.
Select the tick box to make this specific customisation required for customers to add the product to their basket.
Specify the font for your text in the Fonts tab which is displayed after you choose ‘Text Customisation’ as the Type of customisation.
We provide you with four default fonts: Verdana, Helvetica, Georgia and Arial. If you have a special font you’d like to upload, click Add fonts and upload the font file. Acceptable files include WOFF or an installable TTF. The Font Display Name is visible to customers.

Activate the font for your product by clicking Edit and ticking the box next to the font status. Click Done. You are allowed 15 active fonts on a single ASIN.

You may also specify the font colours you support. These colours will be shown to the customer for them to choose during customisation.
Name the colour, (example Black, Red, Blue), enter the hexadecimal colour code and click Add colour. Your new font colour will be displayed below. You may add up to 20 font colours.

Note: Only one font and font colour can be used when customising. If you need to enable more than one font choice or colour, you need to add another surface.
To add more than one text customisation, choose the number of customisations, click Add Customisations and repeat the same process. To add another surface, click Add another surface from the bottom and repeat all the above steps.

Once you’ve created your customisable fields, various surfaces and identified font choices and colours, click Save & Finish.

If you need to let the customer upload an image, then realistically you can’t do it at this stage of Amazon Custom’s development.

If you choose Image Customization the only choice you have is:
a) Don’t let them type anything
or
b) Allow them one text box on every surface within the same dimensions as the image area, but with insufficient control to be usable

If you don’t have to get an image or logo from them, you can make a great product for what you do in every other way - if you are having trouble with anything just ask.
