It might be 2cm where you are but who is to say it isn’t much worse elsewhere on the round? Our DPD driver got stuck in snow yesterday and it took 90 minutes of help to get her out before she could resume her round. We had around 4cm and where she was, only three streets up the hill, it was double the depth. I could see where she was on the live tracking and went to see for myself. It was pretty bad. As annoying as it is (following the switch from RM), the good old British weather is something that nobody can predict (with any accuracy) it seems.

I have found dpd to be getting worse and worse, 2 weeks ago we had 4 out of 5 failed collections ( no snow ) they did of course successfully collect the direct debit. We spoke to the depot on the Friday who told us that the Preston depot was doing no collections for 2 more days. We took our boxes direct to the depot on the Monday and found ( as we knew it would be ) to be total lies and there was loads of dpd vans unloading there collections. Dpd account manager didnt want to know

We switched to parcelforce and took just 2 days for account to be set up and collections to start, so far so good…

At the moment they are too busy to care, but it will soon be January

I give it a few weeks before dpd start calling asking why we are not using them anymore and i cant wait to tell them

DPD has fallen off. They terminated our business contract with them until January despite us sending hundreds of parcels per week through them. Our account manager said it’s because they did not forecast for the Royal Mail strikes properly. Their loss :man_shrugging:

It is not just the snow , although that is a different question
we had 2 deliveries from DPD yesterday 1 45 minutes before our collection time .

DPD have just signed me up to a new international service
and 5 collections out of the lasrt 14 have not taken place

Not sure if this has been happening previously but trying to process a DPD shipment this morning and I cannot, notice states that they cannot accept any further shipments for that specific postcode area and to try again in 48 hours.
