FBA Returns Levels

We’re relatively new to FBA, having started 3 months ago. We’ve noticed that returns levels on products shipped FBA are around 2-3 times higher than the identical products we used to ship FBM.
I wonder if anyone else has experienced this, and any suggestions as to how to fix? Is it simply a case of the FBA buyer has more of a “try before you buy” mentality, as I suspect it might be?
