Has anyone else received this e.mail?

I received the following e.mail today -
_Hello,

We are contacting you because we’ve identified you as the owner of inventory that had not been previously allocated to your account due to an error in one or more of your shipments to an Amazon fulfilment centre.

On July 14, 2021, we will begin assigning items to accounts that we determine to be the owner of the unallocated inventory. Between July 14 and July 30, you might start seeing items from past shipments being added back to your account.

You have not been charged storage fees for items that were not previously assigned to your account. Once the inventory is assigned to your account, monthly storage fees will apply.

For more information, go to our inventory storage fees Help page:
If you don’t want to continue offering these items for sale, you can submit a request to remove them. We will waive the removal fee for these specific items until 11:59 p.m. on August 27, 2021. Starting 12:00 a.m. on August 28, you will be charged the standard removal fee to remove units that were assigned to you.
For more information, go to “Remove inventory from a fulfilment centre”:

I wasn’t sure if this was genuine as it does not appear in my message box in my account. Basically it seems to be saying that they have discovered items from ny FBA stock (which I closed about 2 years ago) that have been misplaced & have now turned up & I will not be charged storage for this period, which is very generous of them as they were the ones to lose them in the first place. I have checked my FBA inventory & there are no items showing although the e.mail does state items will be added between 14th & 30th July so this might not have been done as yet.
I just wondered if anyone else had received a similar e.mail, it does seem genuine but I don’t want to do anything until I am certain.

Yes, it appears genuine, nothing to do but wait.

There is another post about the same as @Anglozone posted, no doubt they will pull back the reimbursement’s and charge for disposal. Win win for Amazon again…
