Yes, some products now have this attached to them. This is done by the supplier. So only products with this attached to them can be sold on Amazon. A couple of items we sell have the same requirement. Speak to your supplier, they will know about this.
You’ll need to re-apply to sell the ASIN via the Add Product page. Amazon will ask you to provide a batch of codes. I needed to buy some more stock as I didn’t have enough with the barcodes on.
Hi
This is how we do it.
You can create them yourself very easy. Just go to google and type Free online Barcode Generator and then select Barcode 2D Generator. Copy the product listing using URL into the generator which will then produce the 2D barcode. Download the QR barcode as an EPS or Jpeg. There are several free barcode software out there also. There is not many manufacturers using the 2D Barcodes. We started using them about 9 months ago,
I can’t see Amazon accepting those.
Transparency codes are unique for each individual item and linked to a central database. The buyer can scan the code, with the Transparency app, to prove the authenticity of the item.
Transparency barcodes are specific to the manufacturer/brand owner, they are there to ensure only genuine products are sold. You can’t generate or purchase these yourself.
