HELP! Trouble listing "GENERIC" items?
I keep getting an error message when trying to list an unbranded item - the error message reads:
_The value ‘Generic’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value '___some random brand’ for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN ‘B0*****’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc)
So I then enter my EAN / Gtin i’ve purchased - and that apparently conflicts with the value too?! Helpppppp

What were you entering before ? The EAN on the product ?
If so, and it’s already in the catalogue - and matches your product, you list against it by clicking the ‘sell yours’ button
Or, were you trying to list with gtin exemption ?

Hi Guys, I have the same issue. All my EANs that I purchased from GS1 are assigned to other ASINs in other market places. I’ve been trying to sort this for a couple of weeks now.
Amazon Seller Support told me that I should create the listing with all the wrong info in matching the ASIN listed on the other market place (the stuff it tells you in the box under the attribute that doesn’t match) then contact the catalogue team to make an update.
I’m trying this now so I’ll let you know how I get on.
