How does amazon handle Plural Keywords?

I’ve noticed that some keywords that are in plural form have less competing products. Can I use these even if I am selling a singular product? For example, lots of people might search for ‘Amazon Kindles’ even though they are most likely only looking to buy 1 kindle but they want to see different devices in the search results. If my listing was for 1x amazon kindle (with the option for customers to buy multiples), is it ok if I use the keyword ‘Amazon Kindles’

I don’t follow the logic here. Anyway, in your example you couldn’t use either “Amazon” or “Kindles” as keywords as brand names aren’t allowed as search terms. Amazon also say to use either singular or plural but not both, which suggests whichever you use Amazon are applying the other behind the scenes.

Thanks for the reply. I was only using Amazon kindles as an example (first thing that came in my head!) and yes that makes sense, that they would use them interchangeably. I do wonder though whether they would give more weight to a listing if the keyword is exactly the same as the search term you’re focusing on (eg plural) over others who use the keyword in the singular.
