How to Avoid Instant Suspension on Amazon.com

I am a UK Citizen based in UK and I wish to sell on Amazon.com. I have spent almost 10 days reading various post on this forum about people facing issues to register on Amazon.com. I am posting this add to avoid such issues.

I would appreciate feedback from gurus if the below will make it easier for me to register on Amazon:

Seller Type: Business / Professional

Business Address: In UK, we are allowed to keep our house address as the company address. I will incorporate LLC Company and the company documents will show my house address as the physical registered address for my Business.

Credit Card: I understand Amazon requires Credit Card but has anyone been successful in using Debit Card, especially issued from UK.

List of Documents that I can provide for Seller Verification:

  • My UK passport or Driving License

  • My Personal Bank Statement from Barclays Bank in UK – It will show my name and address – matching with contact person details on my Amazon account

  • Utility Bill for my house: This will prove my personal address and also my business address ( since both addresses are same)

  • Company Documents such as Certificate of Incorporation, Certificate of Good Standing and other documents.

  • Deposit Account Details: Transferwise USD Account Details

As you know, Amazon USA is now very strict when approving new sellers to be able to start selling on their site and based on your post I don’t think you will be able to register the account without having it suspended shortly after registration.

This is because you will be registering using a business in the USA which was set up with the sole purpose of using it to open the Seller Account and has no history.

In addition, the Transferwise bank account information will raise concerns as well, because Amazon wants you to use a regular local bank, instead of a virtual one - again, with no history, set up with the sole purpose of opening the Seller Account.

The only way how to register on the USA marketplace without going through a suspension is doing so using a local business based in your own country and a normal bank account as it’s deposit method.
