Incorrect Title in ASIN Z
Hi There,
I wanted to create a new book listing on Amazon, so used the ‘Copy Listing’ option to start. I then entered all the new details including the ISBN, title, author, publisher etc. It worked but when the listing was created it came up with the title of the original book, not the title of the new book. I tried correcting the title but I get the message. The value ‘New Title’ specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value ‘‘Old Title’ for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN ‘XXX’, update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).
It appears that Amazon have decided, even though I entered a new title etc, that my new ISBN/ASIN is associated with my old book. How do I fix this?

If you used copy listing that’s why, if it’s a new book then create a new listing

If you have supplied all the details to Nielsen (the UK ISBN agency), you don’t need to create your own listing at all. Nielsen will periodically send updates of new titles to Amazon to be added to the catalogue. If you just wait for that to happen, you can then add your offer to the listing

Thank you, Yes I did create the ISBN through Nielsen.
