Is it any wonder

I’ve seen the email they send. Because Amazon do not support 2D barcodes they ACTIVELY tell people the parcel may be lost even when it has been delivered. Is it any wonder that even though they have received it, they contact us to quote the message and try to get a refund?

Are you suggesting that the use of the 2D barcode is triggering these auto emails from Amazon to the customers?
Or are you suggesting that Amazon are sending these mails to every customer simply because their order isn’t sent “signed for”?
Both are pretty serious problems… for all sellers sending low value items.

How did Amazon tell me that my delivery might have been lost? if it was fulfilled by the seller? When dispatching the order the tracking number would be entered? 2D barcodes are scanned by Royal Mail using the handheld terminal upon delivery therefore no signature is required.

Amazon do not recognise the 2D barcodes, because of that their tracking system does not know the item has been delivered, therefore sends the “lost in post” email to the customers. This is a serious failing that Amazon really do need to address

aha! Yes im getting these as well.

Customer messages to say item is lost “according to Amazon Fulfillment”, however the 2D barcode shows as delivered. When i replied with the C&D link to show delivery it was immediately dismissed by the customer with an emphasis that AZ said it was lost. I thought it was an AZ gremlin and suggested it might be an FBA issue and not seller-fulfilled, err not even i understood my own reply but i was basically trying to buy some time. That was a few days ago and the customer hasn’t replied yet, so either they have it or…who knows???
