Looking some advice to avoid getting into trouble
Hi,
I was unusually busy over the last few days, this is a great thing, however with custom made products I am unable to get all the orders out today that need to go out.
I am going to work all day tomorrow and upgrade the post to 1st class on Thursday so there is no delay in the delivery date, however this will obviously show as a late dispatch.
Will the late dispatch get me into trouble (not prime, just packing and posting myself through non tracked Royal Mail) or will I be ok as long as customers don’t complain?

Yes, just mark it as dispatched today, then as soon as you can add the tracking. It will not affect your metrics doing it this way

The late dispatch will effect or metrics.
You could always say its dispatched today but then package and send tomorrow/Thursday?

Late dispatch is one of your metrics that you need to be concerned with.
So if they should have gone today, then your in a bit of a pickle.
But as to whether it will actually affect you at the end of the day, will very much depend on your volume, compared to the late dispatches.
The target is 4% of orders, so if your 4 late out of 100 orders, it shouldn’t be an issue over the last 30 days.

You could mark as dispatched today and leave no tracking details. Then when its posted amend the shipment to add the tracking details?

would just marking them as dispatched early avoid that? Like I said no tracking etc will update and the orders will be delivered on time so customers will be none the wiser really.
I’m only new to selling, since August of this year, I know this is just a rush that will die off, I just need to get on top of the current backlog (which I will do over NYD and the weekend to come) but a lot of items will be dispatched late in the process
