I applied for a seller account in April. After submitting all requested documents, including passport etc, I got a notice that my account “failed” verification:
For your security, we have suspended your Amazon seller account because we need additional documentation to verify your identity. During our review, you will not be able to sell on Amazon. Funds will not be transferred to you but will be held in your account while we work with you to address this issue. Please ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account.
Why is this happening?
Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated in accordance with section 3 of Amazon’s Business Solutions Agreement. If you currently sell on Amazon, we need additional documentation to verify your payment methods and your identity.
How do I reactivate my account?
Please confirm that there is a valid credit card on file, and provide one of the following documents in .pdf, .png, .jpeg, or .gif format. These documents must be authentic and unaltered.
– A business license, if applicable.
– A bill that is dated within the last 90 days for piped or natural gas, electricity, piped water, or internet service with name and address visible
I provided them with a utility bill of my home address on file, as well as changed my credit card on file, assuming that they had an issue with the first one.
A few days later I received the following message:
_Your Amazon seller account has been deactivated. Your listings have been removed. Funds will not be transferred to you but will be held in your account while we work with you to address this issue. Please ship any open orders to avoid further impact to your account. _

I responded by providing a utility bill for my business, as I assume that that is what they were looking for. However, it’s been at least 48 hours and I have not heard back.
What is needed here? Is this standard verification procedure? Do I now need to go through a full appeal with a plan of action etc?
It’s likely to take a lot longer than 48 hours, especially at the moment when Amazon have staff shortages like every other business. You just have to wait for their next response. Don’t try to chase them up or you’ll just go to the back of the queue each time and never get an answer
OK, after uploading everything they asked for, I get this message:
_We have reviewed the document(s) you recently provided but do not have enough information to reactivate your seller account at this time. We were unable to verify the document(s) you provided. _

What does Amazon want from me here? I have provided them with everything they asked for. The credit card on file is 100% legit and active, the documents I sent in are 100% legit and match exactly my address on file. What now???

Any update on this as I’m going through the exact same thing.
Ok, Guys, I’ve been fully verified as an ltd company.
All I did was follow the guidelines posted on the amazon page link below and within minutes my account was reactivated and I had to email them to reverify my account based on all the documents submitted and within 48 hours I have now been verified.

I submitted all the documents below including a Worldfirst bank account statement
I also added a copy of my driving license and passport so there was no doubt left for the person reviewing my case
