No Tracked 48's scanned on Royal Mail network since Thursday 21st July

Hi all,

So, I’ve just been contacted by a customer expecting their delivery to be with them today or tomorrow, which was dispatched out on Friday via Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Upon checking the tracking details, there is no further update to the tracking status since I manifested through C&D. In fact all of my tracked 48’s dispatched on both Thursday & Friday (21st & 22nd) of last week are showing no further tracking updates.

Every tracking ID displays as shown below because no order has been scanned onto the network yet.

Due to the issues from Monday and Tuesday of last week, I decided to close until Thursday, but I did hand over to my collection driver a single tracked 48 last Wednesday, which was delivered on Friday 22nd.

Two tracked 24’s LL’s were sent on Thursday and Friday, and were delivered the day after. My tracked 48’s were both in Royal Mail sacks, as usual, collected on Thursday & Friday. Single tracked 24’s I just hand over to my collection driver.

Has anyone else sent Tracked 48’s from Thursday and Friday of last week and facing the same issue?

I’m hoping that it’s just a knock-on effect from the weather issues and they’ll appear on the network soon, looks like I’ll be messaging some of my customers to inform them of the delivery delays.

Still no further scans from any of the orders I sent out last Thursday or Friday.

I also sent a couple of tracked 24’s LL out yesterday and they usually receive a scan at around 9 pm on the same day and no updates on them either, yet an International tracked order I sent yesterday has been scanned on the network.

All very concerning, I need to wait until 8 am to ring the business accounts team, but something can’t be right, surely.

I’ve been on the phone this morning with the business team and a member of staff is looking into it for me.

My orders are processed at South Midlands MC and yesterday I handed over an International Tracked and two Tracked 24’s LL to my collections driver. The International Tracked received a network scan at South Mids last night, but the two Tracked 24’s did not.

There was also a bag of 14 Tracked 48’s sent out yesterday and they usually receive a network scan the following morning, but nothing so far.

Just this second the chap from Royal Mail e-mailed me to let me know 2 of the deliveries have just appeared on the network, one out for delivery today with full tracking status updates and the other with a network scan, but out for delivery tomorrow. Both of these were sent in Friday’s batch.

I’ve asked him to check if they are aware of any technical issues affecting the network scans / track & trace website.

Two more deliveries from Thursday’s batch have popped up with network scans, at least this goes somewhat to easing my concerns.

Still nothing from yesterday’s orders, including two tracked 24 LL’s.

I’ve never experienced anything like this before over 3 collection days, spread over 5 days.

We’ve been trying to track our Royal Mail 48 (Non-Tracked) orders via the Royal Mail tracking website.

Multiple tracking numbers keep coming up with an error along the lines of ‘There has been an error, please try again later’.

This isn’t what we usually see, we usually see a message about how it will only show once a delivery attempt has been made.

Perhaps an issue with the tracking system, but quite frustrating.
