Patent products
There is a product on amazon which seems to sell really well. There is only one seller selling it on amazon. I have sourced this product and found a few wholesalers in china that sell this product. How can I make sure that those are not copies of the original product? Is there a reason why only one seller is selling it on amazon? How can I make sure that I am allowed to sell those from china?

That pretty much sums up that yours will not be the same
Its probably the case that it’s a generic product which the other amazon seller has branded as their own and therefore you’d need to create your own brand and listing for the product - you cannot list it on the same asin
You’d also need to check for design rights and patents if there is only one listing for that exact product
The second less likely option is that it is a known branded item ie Nike, Adidas etc in which case buying it from alibaba etc would mean they are fakes

so is there a website where I can check if the product has copyright in place? and that means that I cannot sell the copy even with my own brand?

Don’t forget also if it’s classed at a children’s game you’ll need compliance documents too
