Problems Listing Apparel
We sell apparel and used to use Storefeeder to list products, but since the updated size specifications that came in at the new year it has caused problems and we are having to list directly on Amazon again.
However when I try to list via spreadsheet upload I keep getting the same error message “The data you provided for an attribute does not match the list of valid values. Please select a valid value from the Data Definitions and resubmit”.
However in the Product Type column has only one value, which is ‘shirt’. So there are no other values to select. I have tried resubmitting as blank, but still get the same error. It’s strange that the parent product has been successful but the child variations are getting the error.
Is anyone else having this issue?
I’m going to have to open a case with SS but don’t hold out much hope for a resolution on this.

I have worked it out what the issue is via trial and error.
It’s due to the new sizing specifications for apparel that were introduced at the beginning of this year.
The error report shows that the error is in the ‘Product Type’ column, but this is not correct. The actual issue was with some of the size specific information.
There was a ‘required’ column that I filled out that wasn’t necessary; ‘Shirt Height Type’.
I submitted without this column and it uploaded fibe with no errors.
So if you are trying to list apparel and keep getting 8105 errors for the ‘Product Type’ column the actual issue will be with the ‘required’ sizing values.
