Purchased GS1 code but still need Amazon Barcode

Purchased GS1 code but still need Amazon Barcode

Hi there

I’ve bought a GS1 barcode and had it printed on the packaging for my new product. I’ve come to add the item via Catalogue > Add Products, but when I get to the “Choose barcode type” step it says “Amazon Barcode Only” under Barcode Type.

The item meets all the appropriate criteria (unique EAN, new, etc).

Any ideas why I am not able to use the barcode I’ve purchased to identify the product? Seller support just re-wrote the Amazon guidelines on barcodes back to me, which wasn’t much help.

I’ve also tried deleting the listing and trying again - same thing.

You would need to purchase the barcodes anyway, since they are required in order to create any new listings.

Some ASINs cannot be commingled and require you to use FNSKU labels. These need to be printed and used to cover the EAN barcodes.
