Return fraud new loophole

by Seller_erDmSiScsYZ8h

Since Amazon implemented the automatic return authorisation for MF orders there is a new serious loophole.

A customer can just switch the item or even return an empty box. The return parcel doesn’t even need to be delivered yet for the person to file a claim for a refund. The customer only needs to provide the tracking number Amazon will always side with buyer.

We’ve already seen quite a number of scammers take advantage of this and it seems Amazon does absolutely nothing and has so far always sided with the buyer.

We noticed the same returns policy is being exploited. It’s so easy to abuse the system there are too many holes in the system. It’s not just that it’s dishonest fakes reviews written under a fake name which puts another obstacle against the seller. I really surprised with all the data they collect they cannot detect this activity on the platform. I have been reading lots of reviews and surprised to learn how many would be considered a defamatory.

From experience Amazon staff have the training to deal with these types of issues and the seller is gagged.

Sellers used to be able to respond to the fake review now the seller cannot respond to any reviews.

A group of them will get together and trash your business and no body at Amazon will recognise this because they are not trained.

You need to file a Safe-T claim and Amazon ‘should’ refund you.

Just last month we caught a number of them stealing. When we provided them with proof of delivery never heard any more. We are also noticing a considerable number of days have passed before they attempt to put a claim in. We know from our own data how long the order takes to deliver and we also check if there are any delivery service issues in the postal area with the courier. It appears nothing happens when you select the radio button the buyer is trying to defraud me.

The same with the returns policy the buyer alleges the product is defective but does not return the order for a full investigation. Our orders are packed to order and therefore its checked before dispatch. Any order that is returned we would take a video footage for our reference to show whether the claim is genuine or not.

So far we have had 10 dishonest customer putting in various types of claims which are blatantly not true.

There are no facilities to protect yourself from becoming a victim of organised crime. Its quite clear from our own data these people must know one another.
