I am receiving a ‘tracking number not valid’ message on the Royal Mail website for two items posted in the same batch 4 days ago, all other items are showing delivered.
Has anyone else encountered this before and what does it mean?.
Sods law that a customer has reported none receipt this morning for one of the invalid items.
Thank You in advance.

Not sure but are you definitely entering the code correctly, not mixing up zeros with letter O?
The system would normally say something like “tracking will follow when tracked” or such like but not valid implies a fault with the code.
I think there is an issue at RM at the moment, i read about it on the Powerseller board of the other place.
RM are aware and are due to fix it imminently - so a couple of months then!
Some of mine that originally had this message are now saying delivered.
Had exactly the same issue with package I posted today (local shop has a post office section that opens on sundays). Royalmail website says ‘Barcode reference KBxxxxxxxxxxGB is not valid’ Tracking no was entered 100% correctly as I did it as copy & paste.
had encountered this issue twice. One of the item delivered despite track says not recognized and other did not delivered (as customer claimed refund).
Try to confirm with customer after few days (5 days in my case) the item was delivered. regards
Yes apparently large letters aren’t showing at all, and parcels we shipped some have delivery info others don’t even though buyers confirm receipt, I have some missing at the moment and the tracking isn’t showing anything.
Royal Mail told me last week that its a problem with large letters and they are fixing it. What makes it worse is Amazon sending out emails to customers telling them that their item has eitheir been delayed or lost. I had a few customers last week claiming INR but when you talk to RM on live chat they confirm that they have been deliverd.
