Selling Application for Catalogue Authorisation
Hello,
I am new on amazon and I have an approved brand. I received the 5461 error code while listing my product and I was asked to submit the Selling Application for Catalogue Authorisation form. On the form I am asked to show my product pictures to include the following:
- barcode of the product
- Product ID - such as a UPC/ EAN
I am confused as what is the difference between 1 and 2 to be shown on the package. I thought EAN from GS1 will be the barcode in this case. My product is not ready yet but i have a prototype which i can use to take pictures.

Do you mean a UK trademark and amazon brand registry ?

Correct - the EAN is the European Article Number and is usually on the item in both figures and a barcode

Also, IF I use the GS1 generated EAN barcode on the packaging will Amazon accept that or does it require its own FNSKU? As far as I understand Amazon will generate an FNSKU and in turn generate a barcode to affix on product packages. I am really confused, Every little help will be very much appreciated. thanks
