I’ve just received my first order from my Amazon UK store to be shipped to Ireland, which requires the IOSS information.
As quoted from the order details below:
This is an IOSS order
The shipment of IOSS orders must meet specific customs label requirements. If you are shipping directly to the customer, you must display the Amazon IOSS VAT identification number, VAT exclusive order value and Order ID on the shipping label. You must also provide this information to your shipping partner or customs broker. Please visit Tax Regulations - help page for more information.
The IOSS information is there in the order as follows:
More details
Tax Collection Model: MarketplaceFacilitator
IOSS VAT identification number: IM4420001201
Legislation: EU Deemed Reseller
Tax Collection Responsible Party: Amazon Services Europe S.a.r.L.
When I print the label through C&D, it does state the order ID on the customs form, but not the IOSS number and the price on the customs form also includes VAT, as per before. (I’m not VAT registered btw)
Is there a setting in C&D, where I can change to display the IOSS number and alter the VAT? I’ve had a look through and I can’t see anything else obvious. Prior to receiving the order, I’d already entered Amazon’s IOSS number in the Pre-registration tax schemes & IOSS section, in Setting/ Trading names.
Are you using a code on Click & Drop product code which supports the use of the IOSS number (ie DE4?)
If not, Royal Mail should have added the core product codes which support the automation of IOSS numbers for orders from marketplaces to your account in May. They didn’t for us - we had to phone up and get them added which took about 5 minutes.

It’s still not showing the IOSS number on my C&D labels for both Amazon & eBay, for today I had to resort to printing some small avery labels with ‘VAT Paid IOSS IM4420001201’ on them, for my Amazon orders.
You’re not VAT registered, so you’re saying the price on the customs form is HIGHER than your list price? By how much as a %?
Spoke to C&D customer services today and found out that the codes I was using did not support the IOSS image being printed on the labels.
I’ve switched to codes such as DE4 & DG4, these do display the IOSS image on the labels.
