Tracking for FBM items
Hi. Wondering whether you could help me please. My valid tracking rate is very low despite my using Amazon buy shipping feature. I normally select Royal Mail second class as I sell very low cost items. Seems like tracking number is not automatically provided. Is there another delivery method I should be choosing and will be it worth it? Thank you for your help.

Do you use 'Buy Shipping for all of your shipments ? - or do you ever use any other methods ?
Amazon do automatically confirm shipment when using Buy Shipment.
If all Buy Shipping and none sent via a tracked method then your VTR should be N/A. Even if you only send 1 tracked then it should be 100% by using Buy Shipping.
Have you downloaded your VTR report to see which shipments are not valid ?
If you ever do use another method, eg. stamps or PO, then you need to select ‘Stamps/Franking’ from the dropdown when confirming shipment, NOT 2nd Class, as that is now not valid.

Have to rush out now but quick summary. So far your help is proving useful because at a glance my report shows on column ‘Has valid Tracking Number’ - NO, for all my items. To give you more insight, I am relatively new seller and when I first started I would use stamps from my post office as is only very small items sold. Would then enter tracking number as the proof of postage given by the clerk. This was done for the whole of April. My report only cover April so far. I started using the buy shipping feature in May after receiving warning email about VTR from Amazon. Could this be as a result of May’s report not yet prepared? Really appreciate all the help so far. Thanks

I am in the same boat with low volumes of sales. I use RM 2nd Class via Drop and Go. I get a tracking code which I enter for UK items and anything else I list as 2nd Class Stamps/Franked. My measure has risen from 0% to 100% in no time at all.
