UPS No show for FBA collection 2 days in a row! What to do now?

Hi
I booked a UPS FBA collection and scheduled for Tuesday 17th april on a 9-5 timing (literally stayed home and waited all day) and there was no show and no phone call from UPS driver. I earlier called them at 3.30pm just to confirm collection was still due to take place by 5pm and they confirmed yes. It never happened:frowning: So a day wasted and no collection!

I emailed UPS and highlighted my disappointment and followed this up with a phone call to reschedule the collection for next day. I was given an 11-5pm slot and yet again no one showed up despite the fact that I called UPS at 4pm suspecting a repeat of yesterday’s disappointment and they positively reassured me.
So that is 2 wasted days and lost selling time on Amazon and 2 parcels each weighing just over 15kgs sitting at my flat. No apologies from UPS no response to emails and no phonecall from their depot as had been earlier promised.

I now plan to use a different courier for this collection although I have already prepaid via Amazon FBA page (£15.99). Can someone kindly let me know;

  1. How can I claim this refund if I use another courier?
  2. What courier can you recommend that has given a fairly better service and competitive rates?
  3. Has anyone gone through a similar scenario with UPS FBA collection?
  4. What is the max weight I can drop off at UPS centres? Any limit to the number of boxes I can drop off?

PS. I have previously used UPS for my FBA collection a couple times with no problems at all. Just to say I did the whole process correctly from my end.
Thanks all in advance.

Sorry to hear your problems.

  1. Your contract is with Amazon and as it’s been 2 days since you printed the labels, you will have been charged already. You need to ask Amazon via Seller support for a refund but there is a possibility that UPS might still come and this may cause issues with the refund. Ensure you cancel UPS first.
  2. DPD are excellent, I use them daily. The rate will depend on your negotiations with them but book through an intermediary in the meantime
  3. Others have reported issues with UPS
  4. Call your nearest drop off location to find out.

Good luck.

Use a UPS drop off point.

If you’re taking it to a UPS access point these are usually in small corner shops, so it’ll be as many and as big as they can store securely. If you’re taking it to a UPS depot there practically isn’t a limit.

I had this a number of times and made a slight change and never happened again.

When you book your collection, go to the collection notifications part and put your mobile number in to be notified when it is collected.

I did this and haven’t had a missed collection since. Not sure the reason why, if they know they cant miss it etc but it seemed to work!
