Valid tracking Rate

I dont understand why I need to have tracking numbers on my Royal Mail 2nd class deliveries ?
generally my items(books) are large letter or small parcel untracked
Have received a notification from Amazon that my listings can be suspended if I dont have a 95% VTR Do not understand how to rectify the situation any ideas

You don’t have to have tracking, have you read the policy? How do you record your items as dispatched?

I too sell books and only send tracked those over about £20 value, as RM will cover up to that value with just standard postage.
Yes, you do have to keep a VTR of 95% or over, but that does NOT mean you have to send everything tracked - you need to read the policy. It only measures those that are sent by a tracked method.
It all depends on how you confirm shipment and where you buy your shipping from.

If you just use the PO then when confirming shipment you need to choose the Stamps/Franking option from the dropdown. Do NOT choose just 1st/2nd Class as that is invalid.
If you decide to use Amazon’s ‘Buy Shipping’ then all your shipments will be automatically validated and you will have no problems with your VTR (and for small parcel size it is cheaper than over the counter at the PO).
