Variations changed from dropdown to boxes

Does anyone know why my variation listing has changed from having a dropdown to having boxes to select the variations? It’s really difficult to select the variation now as there are 50+ variations with long titles, whereas it was easy with the dropdown.

It has been like this for my listings on and off for a few months now.

Sometimes they will have boxes, other times they will have drop downs.

I suspect they are trying it out and it is not fully live yet.

I think it works better on my listings having the boxes but I only normally have around 4 variations…I can see it being a problem if you have 50+
