VTR and Royal Mail click and Drop
Never really look at our metrics. But had an email from Amazon saying that the “expedited” shipping option is being phased out to leave just “Standard” or “Premium”. As we currently have a two day handling time guess this will rule us out of premium
Anyway, most of our items are shipped with Royal Mail 48 on click and drop which sends the shipped status and tracking code to Amazon automatically
But on checking the metrics it says
Valid Tracking Rate
Target: over 95%
Time Window: 30 days 26-Dec-2018 - 24-Jan-2019
46.02%
Shipments with valid tracking number: 81
Total shipments: 176
The Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) is all shipments with a valid tracking number as a percentage of total shipments during a given 30-day time period. VTR only applies to seller fulfilled orders.
So does this mean that Amazon do not count these tracking numbers as valid trcking for their metrics??

I dont know what Amazon count or dont.
I use click and drop and absolutely everything goes recorded delivery but my valid tracking rate is 93%. No idea why the other 7% was rejected, it all went through the same C+D account

I do not think the Royal Mail tracking is uploading correctly. I had a mutual friend buy some bits from us and although he had them and Royal Mail tracking said it was delivered the Amazon system was telling the customer that there is a delay with the order and the parcel should arrive soon! Now we have had a few more INR messages lately with customers saying that they have not got the parcel yet and on checking the tracking it shows delivered, I think they are probably trying it on as the message is stating still in transit.
