We need to get an approval to sell our own brand?
Hello there!
I work as a consultant for a company that already had an Amazon US seller account.
They hired me to manage their EU Seller account and I tried to set up a listing for Germany.
When I tried to add our first product, error 5461 popped in saying “You may not be allowed to set up new ASINs for this brand”.
They are telling me I should submit a seller qualification application by uploading a letter from the company I work for and real life pictures of the products.
I am very confused. This brand hired me to add their products to the EU store, the EU and US accounts have the same beneficial owners, tax ID , Bank accounts and addresses.
Why do we need to get approval to sell our own brand?

Is the brand registered in EU with a trademark and brand registry on amazon ?
