What did I do wrong? Can't confirm dispatch!
I only sell stuff on Marketplace very infrequently so maybe I’m a little behind the times here.
So I got lucky and sold a small item last night. I packed it up and took it to the local post office just now in order to get a proof of postage receipt. I used the ordinary ‘Second Class Large Letter’ service, ie not tracked.
I then went online to confirm dispatch of the order. Without entering a tracking ID the Mark as Dispatched button is unavailable. I’m guessing this is a critical faux pas.
Am in a hole? If so, can I dig myself out of it? Or am I just being a drama queen?

Basically, if you used standard LL post that you bought at the post office, you won’t have a tracking number. As such, you need to mark it dispatched using stamps/franking.
However, this will affect your metrics.
In future, if this is only an occasional thing, I would suggest that you only use buy postage through Amazon themselves. You will get the same prices as over the counter and it won’t effect your metrics.
