I have just noticed the words Open Box displayed beside prices for used books. What does it mean?

Already a thread about this, and many of we booksellers are seeing this on our listings - it is ridiculous.
As for what it means - who knows !
There are also cases open with seller support querying this, but no-one seems to have had a satisfactory response yet - I know I haven’t.
