What is the issue with the Seller Performance Team?
Good morning,
My seller account was suspended in July 2018 due to one bad review and in spite of 6 months of backwards and forwards with POA’s and modified POA etc they eventually decided I could no longer sell on Amazon. We took the specific advice given by the Seller Performance Teams to open a new account to begin selling again on Amazon. We did this after final disbursement was made in November 2018. Within 15 minutes of the account being opened it was suspended as their ‘bots’ linked me/my new account to my old suspended account. I am at my wits end to be fair and nothing I say registers, seller performance never responds. Was I given duff information by the Seller Performance Team?
Can anyone tell me if there is a statutory time period for an seller account suspension, say 12 months or is this suspension indefinite? I imagine that if I set up another business I would probably be able to register a fresh account with Amazon…however, creating another company is a major, major hassle.
Also, should I keep trying to appeal and if so on OLD account or NEW account.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

Do you have an email from Seller Performance authorising you to open the second account or were you advised to over the phone by seller support?
Your account wouldn’t have been suspended in the first place for a single order feedback, it would have to have been cumulative poor feedback or order defects.

I am sorry, but it sounds like you listened to a very bad advice provided by the Seller Support.
I guess, this is what they normally tell to suspended sellers who contact them, only to get them off the phone.
The Amazon policy is very clear - you may not open additional Seller Accounts within the same household, without a prior permission from the Seller Performance. And this approval would never be given to sellers with currently suspended account/s.
At this point, I don’t think there is anything you can do.
You have a double suspension - ODR and related accounts. The second one - opening a new Seller Account without a prior permission to circumvent a suspension is a very serious one and extremely difficult to get lifted in a situation like yours.
To answer your questions, all suspensions are permanent unless successfully appealed.
You may not open a new Seller Account, regardless of your new business entity. Amazon will close any additional accounts opened by you or the members of your household.

Just email Jeff@amazon.com and keep your email short very short and able for them to act on easily. That is your last and best shot!
