What means "Threshold" in Amazon: "Threshold for distance selling" of VAT
In UK, if you are selling goods from another country, you don’t need to pay VAT if your annual “thresholds for sales of goods” are below £70,000.
But in Amazon, thresholds for sales have 2 variations.
- Summary payed by buyers
- Summary of deposit which seller received actually (not included fees by Amazon)
So, thresholds means which summary?

For tax purposes, your Sales will be the gross sum paid by customers including p&p charges etc. Amazons fees etc are Costs

Your first sentence is not correct. If you based in the U.K, you must register for vat if your annual SALES exceed the threshold, around £85000. It has nothing to do with the country of origin of the goods you are selling.
Re your question, it is the total of sales, including postage and packing. Not the money paid to you by Amazon.

Actually if you live abroad and have goods in the UK the threshold is £0 and you need to be vat registered straight away - amazon are now clamping down on this
