Christmas is over and Evri is worse
I bought an Evri One Day delivery with Parcel2Go, dropped it off on 4/01, last Wed. It hasn’t been collected yet together with all the other EVRI parcels (Amazon Buy Shipping), now I have a huge pile of parcels at home that nobody wants, as all the shops are full.
I contacted Parcel2Go but it’s too early to complain, I have to wait 6 more working days, regardless of the fact that it was a 1 day delivery and it’s at least 2 working days late now (very unlikely it will be collected and delivered by tomorrow). I thought that January was going to be easier, but Evri must have let go of many of their temporary drivers, at one shop they told me they only collect about once a week now. I am slowly moving most of my stock to FBA, but in the meantime I think I will go back to RM.
Is only this area so bad?

No, it was on the news the other day, though (of course) EVRI were playing it down as a “temporary blip”. There is most definitely a shortage of courier drivers, throughout the country. Nobody wants to work with EVRI; they are all trying to get in with Amazon instead.
And this is the big question that everybody who was planning to jump ship from RM now has to deal with. Whilst it might have been a pretty bad situation during the RM strikes, the alternatives with the likes of EVRI have been even more intolerable.
We moved everything Amazon to FBA a long time ago and it’s the best thing we ever did.

Have you looked at Yodel on Parcels2Go? We’ve had no issues with delivery since we’ve turned MFN back on.

Evri made BBC Breakfast this morning… It seems very serious problems. I think the Millions they spent on rebranding would have been better invested in staff ?

On our local news this morning a gang got into the Evri depot in Stockport yesterday & got a way with numerous cages of packets, just wheeled them out of the depot.

My local shop is Evri drop off, he is not accepting parcels for collection this has happened even before Christmas. He says it is due to too many people having drop off delivery and not collecting, this is clogging up space. The shop has every available space filled with uncollected parcels. We actually stopped drop offs as customers did not collect then complained that the shop could not find their parcels or they got sent back to us (the Argos click and collect on ebay). Not that we use Evri the thought actually gives me heartburn lol.

One of our local Evri drivers delivers parcels through the day and Pizza’s during the evening using his own car. He works his butt off but he always looks exhausted.

I am waiting on several Evri parcels to be delivered, 4 of which are from a big name brand (ordered 23rd Dec) and the updates stop on the system on 31st Dec. Rang this morning and the customer service assistant told me as there is no further statues, Evri have ‘probably lost them’…and oh yeah, we have no more stock of that item so you cannot have them! Similar scenario with the other parcels who are from ‘mid-level’ companies, although their customer service is like a roundabout of, we need to speak to Evri, Evri make a progress update and then another message to say it is delayed etc etc.
Trying to get return collections is even worse. When I asked my courier if he got the previous 4 requests for collections he answered ‘tbh, i’m fed up of collections. There are loads I have missed as I have been focusing on deliveries’.
Evri was the ‘alternative’ I was looking into after the Royal Mail issues…now I’m not so sure

I feel your “Evri” pain, as due to non collections i now drop off daily at a Evri collection point.
Early December Evri collected 14 parcels from me and 3 weeks later had not tracked any further. I raised this with P2GO as a claim for lost parcels and also added if found do not deliver as all of these were credited or replacement sent.
Yes you’ve guessed it, without letting me know they were found and every single one was delivered to the customer, this has cost me approx £2k & i cant do anything about it !

In my 30 years of selling . Although Royal Mail have had a few problems along the way ., I personally find their service to be OK. I’ve just altered delivery times accordingly with strikes,
I personally would never use Hermes / Evri for my parcels!
