Multiple Accounts

by Seller_CLqdjvEaHCSLA

I need some advice please regarding multiple Amazon accounts in the UK. In 2017, I had an existing Amazon selling account (let’s call it Account A), and I obtained permission from Amazon to open a second account (let’s call it Account B) to keep my brand and wholesale operations separate. However, by late 2019, I decided to discontinue using Account B and continued solely with my main account, Account A, for my brand. Since late 2019, I have not logged into Account B and changed the plan to an individual seller account.

Recently, I have been receiving messages regarding Account B, asking me to remove listings that are now considered violations, and I have been charged for stock they found. I am concerned about logging into Account B after such a long period of inactivity, even though I had obtained permission to open the second account. My intention is to log in to Account B, liquidate any remaining stock, and delete all the listings I had left.

Considering Amazon’s strict policies even though I recieved permission, I am unsure about the potential risks involved. I am worried if I log in they suddenly close both accounts which will create a massive problem for me. What would be the best course of action in this situation?

Thank you for your assistance.

I would think whether you log in or not the connection could possibly be made through your name, emails, addresses etc, and I don’t think they care about when you last logged into create said connection.

However just to be safe, could you log into account B using a new device, maybe a friends computer (that doesn’t have an Amazon account) or phone at their house, or a public library, something that you will never use for your own account.

As soon as possible get account b closed, and that should stop any future problems

There is no prohibition on multiple accounts and Amazon no longer requires prior authorisation.

There is even a page on Seller University about it.

What Amazon doesn’t want is bad actors opening a new account having had one closed, so account health issues on one account will effect all.

Hi @Ash_Store,

I am Mary from Amazon, here to assist you.

With all the above information that you have posted I understand that you need help with your selling accounts.

Thank you @Dedez and @Maverick7 for your valuable inputs.

As you stated above, that you are having two selling accounts and you have an active business on Account ‘A’, and you are not active on Account ‘B’.

But as you mentioned that you have been notified by the team regarding the violations on Account ‘B’, it might be because of the listings in your inventory which might have been violating the policies of Amazon.

As you stated that you have been inactive for a long time and you are no longer willing to do business on Account ‘B’.

Here, I recommend you to login in to the Account ‘B’ and remove your listings.

To close your Account ‘B’ please contact support team for further assistance by following the below pathway:

Help > Get support > selling on amazon > click on (Or, browse for your issue in the menu) > your account > other account issues > choose the contact method (Email, phone, chat)

If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we can help you.

Regards,

Mary
