Lost a credit card chargeback by shipping Amazon Buyshipping and with UPS signature
We shipped an order in early Apr. We followed all Amazon guideline, bought the UPS label through Amazon Buy Shipping and required signature, It was delivered on time and the recipient signed for this package.
On 04/14/2024, a credit charge chargeback was opened. We responded timely and provided all necessary info for this chargeback. A second chargeback was filed for this same order after the original claim was resolved.
Below is the status for 2 claims of this order as of last week of May.
One was filed on 04/14/2024, and the status was " You are not responsible, we successfully defended the chargeback."
And the second was filed on 05/13, the status was " You are not responsible for this chargeback or its reimbursement.".
And today 06/04, we received an email from Amazon saying " As the representment was unsuccessful, you are responsible for this chargeback. As per Amazon Business Solutions Agreement, Amazon will debit your account for 1159.88 USD. "
Of course when we further checked our Amazon account / chargeback page, it is now showing we ARE responsible for the chargeback.
This cannot be the seller's responsibility. Why does Amazon chargeback to the seller's account when Amazon confirmed seller is not responsible for the chargeback or reimbursement.

The charge back is brought by the buyer and their bank. Since the purchase was made through Amazon, they are the "middle man" when it comes to presenting and forwarding the information. Can you appeal? I would keep at it, presenting your evidence.

Hey there! @Seller_RarKQCL75ZIRy
This is Roberto. Following up here to ask if you were able to appeal this decision? Was there any further response on this?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
