Images & Copyright etc
Hi all,
Just found another seller using my images across his Amazon and eBay store. The images aren’t for our brand, but I was the one that spent ages putting them onto a mannequin then editing the pictures, not really happy I’m helping him get his sales up.
Is there any reason I can’t ask him to take the images down?

He’s even used my descriptions, word for word!

I often see my photos from Amazon used on ebay by other sellers of books.

For eBay sign up for the Vero program. Reported listings are taken down within 1-2 days.

If you have uploaded these images to Amazon you have given Amazon the write to use these as they see fit. (read the small print).
Hence if the image is on another Amazon listing I do not think there is anything you can do about it.
eBay is a different matter - on there all images belong to the seller/lister.

There is a chance that the seller could also be a victim, imagine if this seller actually paid someone to create their products, and without their knowledge their freelancer stole your images and took payment for the job. There is always a chance that the seller is not totally at fault, I think it would be more fair to inform them, send them a warning through email or post or telephone, make sure that they know that they have breached your copyright and that they must remove all products or update them with different images within 48 hours otherwise you will have to take further action.
Reporting to amazon will not fix the problem, at least for a while, you may find it is much quicker to contact the seller.
It’s a different scenario but I have had complaints against my account but for daft thing’s, things like common words or phrases that everyone has known for decades and that this person threatening my account has just trademarked it and claimed ownership, words like “I Love my Mummy”.
Anyway I just wanted to give me opinion as everyone is pretty much saying the same thing.

eBay won’t help unless you are registered with the VeRO program. Amazon won’t help unless you have brand registry and even then it’s weak.

How about just focus on your store and your sales and not spend time worrying about images and what your neighbor is doing. I never understand this. At the end of the day, the customers only care about cost and service. While images are important to sell the product, its really not the worth the time to spend any energy on this topic. In all reality, spending time worrying about images probably means that you don’t have many sales. So my next point, get some new products that sell, and say bye bye to worrying about the competition and HELLO to more revenues. Best of luck

make an watermark on micro level which is not seen without % zoom, then wait for him to copy your design, if it will happen then you can logged the copyright against the seller.
Another solution is that you can also make water mark crossing the mannequin .it will possessed some assurance.
