Amazon keep charging me and they are not allowing me to close my account!
Hi Guys
I opened a sellers account in April which I planning to use but never did. I have been charged £90 since then and I cannot close my account and feel Amazon are making it incredibly hard for me to do so. Why can I not just close my account and pay the remaining balance and be done!?
I have been charged another £30 today and when I went to try and find a way to close my account it said I am unable to close it unless I pay the next £30 in July … I feel powerless and the support has been dreadful, I have emailed and got no response. Please if anyone can recommend me what to do I would be massively grateful, I don’t earn a great deal and this is starting to effect me financially so if anyone have any advice please let me know!
Many Thanks,
Ashley

If you check the forums this question is asked every day!!
Go into your account settings and downgrade to Individual instead of the Professional account you signed up for. This will stop further fees accruing.
Then raise a case and ask Amazon very politely if they would refund you as you signed up in error and have not sold anything at all (they will check). You are currently still liable for the July fee.
You cannot close your account if money is still owed to Amazon.
