Amazon taking incorrect fba fee and flouting responses on seller central

Is it possible to make an official complaint to amazon?

I have just put up 5 new listings.
They are charging the incorrect fba fee for 4 of them and the fees keep fluctuating up and down all the time whilst orders are being processed.
Furthermore they are refusing to reimburse me for the orders that have gone out with the incorrect fba fee AND they are measuring the items incorrectly. The items are flat items but they are somehow measuring the height as 4cm?

Im sick of ping ponging emails back and forth keep checking on my listings like a sick dog. Amazon as a large company needs to take more consideration to make sure they are taking the correct fba fee and reimbursing for too much taken. It is your duty amazon to do things correctly.

Has anyone had similar experience and does anyone know if I can make an official complaint ?

Not really. If Support has been exhausted (or exhausting ) there is only really the MD’s office or, in some circumstances, mediation.

When fighting to get fees changed I have literally taken photos of measuring the product saying they are incorrectly measuring the item and that they need to remeasure them. This usually gets this sorted.

It can be a pain! In the warehouse they use a thing called CUBISCAN. Which on very small items is not very accurate. I have had instances where they have told me measurements are correct and sent me a pick of the item on the cubiscan and you can clearly see they person did not even put it on the machine correctly!!

Send photo with tape measure next to product to show size. Ask them to send you proof of sizing they have.

thats about all you can do.

Are you sure the Fees are incorrect? Have you missed the VAT on the fees perhaps?

I used to have vinyl records stored in FBA & the charges for the same size standard 12" lps & 7" single records varied so much. I was even paying more for certain 7" singles than I was for a 12" lp. When I queried this with Amazon & pointed out the measurements of the records did not comply with the fees they were charging for storage they told me the fees were based on the measurments of the items as packaged ready for posting out & not for the measurments of the items themselves, & we all know how they package small items in massive boxes, far bigger than they need to be. I stopped using FBA several years ago now.

Weve had the same issue on an item that sells around 350 units per day. Its a small & light and the fee rose from £1.06 to £1.71 overnight. We did similar things to you, re-measured, forwarded images etc, but the robot says no. As we’re in the 360 partnership, we have a human to call upon, who is very good, but the fee remains at the higher level and ultimately they have the same issues we have, very few humans. What we have done to date is increase the retail by 70p, which still results in a slightly lower cash margin than we had, and 8% lower in terms of POR. We have also pointed out to Amazon that the retail is not competitive. Sales haven’t really dropped but we will keep pressing the case as our business isnt about offering poor VFM. Hope you get somewhere with your case.
