Funds placed on hold by Amazon - no reason given
As per the title, Amazon have placed my entire account balance on hold by increasing my account level reserve to the same amount as my balance.
Account health is good, no chargebacks, claims etc.
I’m a fairly new seller (4 months) and my sales have been increasing nicely so I did wonder if it may just be a velocity review or something but I have had absolutely no messages telling me why this has happened.
Seller support just say that they don’t know why this has happened and it has been referred to the credit team. There is nothing I can do but wait in hope now. This is so stressful as I was due a disbursement of £2,500 which I need to pay suppliers and business accounts. My entire budgeting relies on getting the money I am owed and was expecting.
Just wondering if anyone has had similar, frozen money with no information provided and good account health.

Same thing seem to have happened to me overnight without any information or warning! Everything fine yesterday, and now £0… And I have been selling on Amazon UK for 9 years without ANY reserves! My account is in very good standing, everything in the green, no A-Zs, no chargebacks etc.
I’ve raised a case with them, needed to get past the usual waffle of ‘do not worry madam, your money is safe and will be paid out blah blah blah’

It’s an absolute nightmare. All I have had is a typical copy paste response saying that they are aware of my Grievance and I will receive an update within 3 weeks.
3 FLIPPIN WEEKS
All I have asked is for a reason as to why this has happened. It’s outrageous to do this to people without even explaining what’s going on.
I’m going to have to take a personal loan to pay suppliers now. It’s absolutely screwed me and I’m regretting even starting this now.

And when you say “Increasing Nicely” do you mean there’s been a recent spike in your sales, or that there’s been a slowl (and steadily’ish) increase every week since you started?

Honestly my biggest issue with this entire situation is that this has been done without proviidng any info whatsoever. All they had to do was send an email saying “we’re reviewing x,y,z because of a,b,c and you will be updated by xxxx”.
That’s the absolute minimum I would expect. We are talking about thousands of pounds here and people’s financial health.

Thanks for the reply. i have, however opened several cases with SS. I have also emailed MD and now the Disbursement Team simply to ask for a reason as to why my funds are on hold. I’ve not had a shred of information as to why this is being done. I came here as a last resort.
