DD+7 - any advice?

Hello all,

We are a pre-2016 seller and received the below email, but have emailed the payments-investigate email address and not even received a reply?

Our payments definitely have been delayed since August because the available funds are always much less than the balance, but the account level reserve is showing zero.

Any advice on how to get through to someone to ask for a transition extension? Tried seller support but that was computer says no (they just keep reiterating the policy).

Thanks

Hello,

Change to your reserve policy

Earlier this month we moved your account to the standard base reserve policy called “Delivery Date Based Reserve” or “DD+7”.

What this means for your business

Funds from sales will be available for disbursement on the delivery date plus seven days. For example, if you ship an item on 1 April, and the delivery date is 4 April, the funds will be available for disbursement from 12 April. This policy was applied to your account on 3 August. However, we understand that this transition may have caused you a one-time cash flow issue and support is available.

Why did we move you to this policy?

Sellers registered after August 2016 have operated under this policy for seven years. This change will standardise our reserve policies for UK and EU sellers and ensures sellers have sufficient funds to cover any financial obligations like product returns or customer claims.

How to request additional support

If you are concerned about the impact this transition has had, please contact us payments-investigate@amazon.co.uk and we’ll evaluate available options to help you, including a transition extension to 31 January 2024.

This was the advice form Maja on the previous thread regarding the reserve extension so hopefully the mail address she has provided will work for you to get the extension. Its not allowing me to properly add the email address from her message but its payments-investigate at amazon . co . uk

"Thanks for reaching out with your query.

Let me please provide some clarification:

- Sellers who had their reserve policy changed on 3 August have the opportunity to request a one-time delay of the policy change until 31 January 2024 (email address above)

- All Sellers who were due to have their reserve policy changed on 6 September - have their policy change delayed to 31 January 2024.

Do no hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions"

Thanks.

Well don’t know if it was my email to them or just a blanket decision but I got this message this morning, so good news!

Your Reserve Policy

Thank you for reaching out to us in regard to the change in your reserve policy. The Delivery Date +7 (“DD+7”) policy means sales revenue is held for 7 days after delivery and has been the standard worldwide policy for sellers since 2016. This migration will standardise this policy for European sellers to ensure they have sufficient funds to cover any financial obligations, like product returns or customer claims.

We understand that the transition to this policy may cause a one-time cash-flow issue for your business. To support you in preparing for the policy change, we have extended your policy transition until 31 January 2024. You will revert to your prior reserve policy in impacted stores within 48 hours.

The DD+7 changes which we have outlined in our previous communications will still come into effect on 31 January 2024.
