this is the 3rd email we’ve received that one of our items have been blocked as another seller has claimed themself as the brand owner when in fact they do not own the brand in any way, they have manipulated the listing and put themself as the brand owner and manufacturer when they are not (the item in question is a big name brand) they are using their trade mark to pretend they own the rights to the item. We buy all our stock from official distributors but even when uploading the invoice and showing the items to Amazon it is not enough the need a LOA from the seller who reported us, it is obvious they will not give us permission to sell it as they would lose money, I’ve tried to get my inventory back also from amazon as i can not fight this case however, i can not create a removal order as the items are supposed “counterfeit” (they are not, they are all official) what do i do about this??
i can not appeal it and i can not get my items back, where do i go from here?

Can you prove that the listing had the correct brand when you went on it? and did you list using the barcode?

You need to make sure that when you list, the brand matches. Sellers do hijack brand listings sometimes to their own brand - using the genuine EAN, but more often than not they are creating a new ASIN with a new EAN that is some form of bundle or non-standard offer.

It is crazy that people like them are allowed to keep the accounts, multiple ltd companies in the same place selling made up brand names stuck on well known products, loads of bad feedback for not as described or not in stock and then they also have the facility to throw others off genuine listings

Same thing has happened to me today. I’ve been kicked off a listing by another seller claiming my items to be counterfeit and changing brand name on listing to their own. Already breaching policies by putting their company name in title of product. I wish Amazon would just stick to the rules they actually set - were all here just to make a bit of money sadly the minority spoilt it for everyone

You can’t just claim rights, even if they wanted to Amazon will ask the brand owner for confirmation,
I am registered brand owner of 2 big companies , where I am an exclusive distributor to the UK, but I wouldn’t be able to register as brand owner without their consent.

They aren’t selling nor have they ever sold the product but they are now the brand.and I cannot change anything about the description or product or even sell it. I have created a new listing but the old listing had existed for nearly 10 years and has a good history
