Fake Reviews

We are being attacked by fake reviews and its damaging our brand and sales. Is there a way to request the fake reviews are deleted? We've tried reporting abuse and the fake reviews are still there.

ASIN in question is B0BVBTNRJT

We have two clearly fake reviews. Amazon please address this problem. Its worse than it has ever been.

Hi

I guess we all suffer from fake reviews. Can I ask are you FBA or SF like me, I think they are treated differently.

Regards Alan

They could be fake but how can you be so sure?

Could it be that your product is not very good?

Even if Amazon were prepared to consider removing the reviews (they never do), you would have have a big task to convince them that they are malicious reviews.

I do sympathise but this has been going on since the beginning of Amazon. Just the fact that they allow reviews to be left by anybody, whether or not they have bought the product, is enough to tell you that they do not take it seriously.

They will tell you they have system to root out this sort of behaviour.

Don't forget that they removed the facility of sellers being able to leave replies to bad reviews which I guess it was because of bad behaviours by some sellers. (Brand owners do have a limited ability to contact the buyer but clearly not possible for reviews where there was no purchase).

If Amazon don't take this seriously it will be their downfall.

Mate, this is always going to happen. You've left yourself so open to attack. How do you fight back? You get as many real reviews as possible to mitigate the risk of bad actors. They see a new listing and they want to shut it down. Once you have enough real reviews it doesn't make any difference. Step 1- get 50 real reviews, hopefully above 4.5 stars. Have you used VINE for this product yet? If not get as many reviews through vine as possible.

Nope, no way sorry.

We had a brand new ASIN, product never sold before not a single unit. We launched it and then wham day one with no sales a negative unverified review, clearly the only person it could have been is a competitor as it most certainly was not a customr as non had sold.

Would Amazon remove it ? nope. "it is not eligble for removal as its an accurate reflection of a customer experience".

What ? the customer who has never purchased it ? and is clearly a competitor ? Amazon. We wont remove it

Sorry, its not good.

Occasionally you may get an email that says a review has been removed. But it wont tell you which one, why it was removed, or if it was a positive or a negative one.

Sorry

Could you please clarify which reviews you are being attacked by?

Is it the 5 star review left by Daniel bowers or is it the 4 star review left by Steven R?

Both Daniel and Steven have each only ever left 2 reviews on Amazon and both are positive reviews for your products branded "Veho".

Lets hope Amazon do remove these fake reviews and also remove the bad actors too. I'm sure you would agree with this also.

Should you decide to sell glass houses in the future, I will provide a review for you, but it won't be positive as all the windows will be smashed.

They do not look like fake reviews. However, they may not have bought on Amazon, which is rather unfair, but that is what Amazon allow, so you cannot do anything about it.

They are £250 headphones, so the Buyer is expecting a lot. In fact, they probably expect as much even if they were £20 - as we find most customers think nothing has increased in price in 40 years and if they paid £250 back then, they expect the same performance and quality now.

You sell a lot of items, so hopefully other items sell instead. Unless the same reviewer gives 1 star to all your items, then I don't think Amazon will pick up on 1 bad review, even if you do not yhink it is a fair review of the item.

Some makes offer the first batch at a very low cost, in 1 colour, then get good reviews of the item, others use Vine, others sell FBA and hope the items sell better, etc.

I do note though that on your own website, I cannot see your Company registered name, Co Reg No, Reg address in the UK, etc. Which must be shown by law, as a minimum on the home page and most show on every page (with NI rules soon as well, needs an EU address/agent shown too). A phone number is also a good idea, as then Buyers get help and confidence in the brand.
