HELP! You are using UPCs, EANs etc. that do not match the products
Hi everyone,
First time posting here and looking for some help as I have become stuck on this error message and amazon seller support are as usual not offering much in advice or solution so I would love to get some expert feedback from some sellers that have knowledge or experience with this error message and maybe a solution to get around it.
Error Message:
“You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, please contact Seller Support.”
I would like to give you my full history of how I reached this stage to help you understand the situation better.
I am a new seller trying to list my first product. I have acquired ‘Brand Approval’ from amazon for my brand name, I have acquired my EAN from ‘Barcodes Mania’ which I know some will flag straight away as the cause of the problem but they do say that the barcodes comply with GS1, I don’t fully understand the ins and outs behind it, but I know it either can still be a viable or option or it used to be (a seller friend of mine had there’s accepted only yesterday from that site). If possible I would like to avoid the more expensive route as starting off can be a bit tough due to capital.
I have sent amazon images of my barcode printed on to my product packaging. Although can tell me is that they have escalated higher to the required department and they will get back to me, but that day seems like its never going to come as it has been ongoing for weeks and weeks with no progression.
I am in dire need of a solution or direction as I have stock waiting and would really value any advice I could get from this forum.
Thank you.

This is the cause of your problem. It will be due to reused eans (most likely). We had this a long time ago with a few asins. And basically Amazon were seeing the brand as the previous “owner” of the ean.
We fixed ours by doing as you say you have done, sending pictures of the product, showing the barcode etc
