Still waiting for verification by kyc-drtax-verification@amazon.co.uk
We were informed on 16/1/24 that all disbursements to us were being deactivated because "we have indicators that you might not be UK established for VAT purposes. As a result, we need you to provide additional documentary evidence proving that your company is established in the UK in accordance with this legislation, within 60 days of this notification."
Since then there have been more than 20 emails going back and forth and we have always replied to their emails same day with all the information requested (whereas they have taken up to 2 weeks to respond), and have asked for the same documents several times, and have several times claimed that they can't answer, because we replied from an email address which "is not registered to a selling on Amazon account." We have always replied from our seller central registered email account.
Nearly 2 monhts on we still don't have resolution, any idea of how much longer the process will take, or any explanation of what is taking so long. There is no telephone number to call. kyc-drtax-verification@amazon.co.uk so we are prisoners of kyc-drtax-verification@amazon.co.uk's appalling inefficiency.
It seems to us as if Amazon are deliberately stringing this out. They have nothing to lose from taking their time as they are benefiting from an interest free loan, whilst we are in severe cash flow difficulties.
If Amazon really believe we are not "UK established for VAT purposes", why on earth can't they simply check our UK VAT registration online. There is a UK government website for this, which gives immediate proof of validity of UK VAT numbers. I've just input our VAT number and it comes up "Valid UK VAT number - Your proof of check reference LMF-CVA-MPA"
This is looking more and more to me like a scam by Amazon to borrow money interest free from their suppliers.
I would be very grateful for any help in resolving this issue before cash flow problems stop us from trading.

Just to add that according to our Seller account settings, all mandatory Identity information has been successfully submitted, and our UK VAT/GST number has been verified.
So why are they still witholding £9,000 of payments from us?
And why do kyc-drtax-verification@amazon.co.uk not reply to emails - now 32 days since their last email, which requested the same info we'd already supplied, and to which we replied 32 days ago. No response to the 4 emails I've sent since.
It's a fabulous example of abuse of effective monopoly power.
