Seller SKU ? (Listing Creation)

When adding a product, where it says listing creation, under offer, it asks for a seller SKU, (but I have have my own EAN number which is printed on my packaging) I guess I can leave this blank and Amazon will create one for you, if so where would I find the SKU number once this listing is created and where and when will I need to use this.

Yes you can leave the SKU blank if you just want to enter the EAN
We sometimes use the SKU if we have 2 products with similar titles or sometimes use it for stock location

SKU stands for Stock Keeping Unit and it is for your personal use only.
If you do not assign a number then Amazon will - a random string of numbers/letters.
As a bookseller I use it as a code for the genre and location, so I can find quickly.
