Parent Child relationship - "ASIN is currently contributed by Amazon retail"
I am having this issue of creating Parent- Child Relationship for my ASINs.
A lot of products are currently listed under different parent in the amazon catalog and Seller support is saying that they can’t remove the relationship as it is contributed by “Amazon Retail”.
How to fix this issue?
We are not selling our products to any amazon vendor and only working through FBA.

Are you enrolled in brand registry? Are all of the listings you have offers for listings under your own brand?
You should check to see if any of the ASINs for your listings are being sold by Amazon in other marketplaces as well as your main one.
I don’t know why this would be an issue, but could it be to do with the option to allow Amazon to buy your products from you to sell in other marketplaces? Do you have that turned off in your settings?

I had the same issue recently after we had enrolled into the Brand Registry. We were trying to tidy up some ASIN’s into one variation and some ASIN’s had been dumped into different variations and we needed to remove the child ASIN’s before adding them to the correct variation. Amazon stated that they were controlled by Amazon retail and there was nothing they can do.
Just keep informing them that the information is incorrect and needs to be updated. Tell them that you are the brand owner and not Amazon.
If you keep going on SS will just crumble and remove the child.
Support representatives get black marked if a case is re-opened and they hate that so just keep replying until they cave in.
A good one I use is “Who are Amazon Retail? Are they another seller controlling my branded registered listings? Has my brand registry account been hacked? etc…etc…”
