DD+7 is a disaster and is destroying many small businesses, here is what you can do.

Trying to request an exclusion, or getting an answer from seller support is practically impossible, so the ONLY realistic thing you can do here is contact your local MP, and let them fight for you.

If enough MPs get messages from their constituents they may just may be forced to take an interest.

Just go to a search engine, type in "find my local MP" email them, explain what is going on, and that you would like them to help you, and for Government to forced Amazon to respond and ultimately stop this soul destroying practice of holding on to your funds for weeks on end.

No one on here is gonna help you, so who else can you speak to?

Also worth contacting any of the consumer help journalists in the tabloids, BBC Watchdog type tv programs, Martin Lewis, just anyone you can think of that has some power.

If enough of us contact our MPs and this gets brought up in Parliament, then MAYBE we can get some help.

To be honest all this was done over a year ago and was the reason Amazon put in place the option to defer the switch - so businesses would have time to adjust.

Unlike the post office, Amazon is not owned by the tax payers so do not have to answer to the Government. The4y are not regulated.

Martin Lewis, BBC etc tend to deal with consumers and consumer rights, sellers are running businesses and very rarely these are taken up and seen as just disputes between 2 companies.

This is not unique to Amazon it is becoming common practice. Ebay have offered more protection for sellers with returns and fraud etc, wonder how long they caveat by putting in a similar policy.

MPs will do nothing - most don't even bother responding to emails. Try a change.org listing which will require 10,000 signatures to be looked at by them..

I encourage you to contact the Small Business Commissioner regarding your situation. While the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) claims they do not investigate individual complaints, they can raise concerns about your access to funds. It’s disappointing to see an unethical offer of a loan instead of providing you with access to your money when you need it most.

The Enterprise Act 2016 grants the Office of the Small Business Commissioner the authority to investigate cases where large companies engage in unfair practices, including harassment or bullying. I would argue that this situation falls within their remit to address not just contractual disputes but also unfair business practices. Additionally, the Unfair Contract Terms legislation may apply here, and I believe my case merits further investigation on these grounds.

If you need assistance navigating this process or have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm here to help!

DD+7 is better than the old system. I think it's a bit of a shock for most people but once you get through the initial transition I much prefer it to the old Account Level Reserve.

Also to clarify once you've fully transitioned to DD+7 there is no longer any amounts held in account level reserve. So you can request daily disbursements.

I'm finding it much better. You just need to manage the initial 2/3 weeks of transition without payments and then it's smooth sailing!

Our local MP is a newly elected Labour guy who has not answered any email since May. He hasn't got an office address or any staff!!! I got my exclusion back within a couple of hours of requesting it - not everyone can say its impossible.

In fact my response was significantly better than any response I'd get out of my MP
