Relentless delays on VAT refund for VAT on fees from Luxumbourg "technical issues "
Like many people I am a VAT exempt seller who has tried to reclaim the VAT previously wrongly charged on selling fees ( billed from Luxembourg prior to this August ). All seemed well , with them accepting my status and documents requested (utr letter ). I was told to wait until September the 16th to claim my refund .When I did so , I was told there were "technical problems" , and I should request again in a week . Which I did , and received an identical email , extending the period again ,..and again ... Now this ( third ) time the period is three weeks before I should ask again ... It seems like someone is having a Kafkaesque joke and that there will always be an identical reply , extending the period for ever ( the emails are always identical ) Is this happening to anyone else ? Or have I just gone mad ?

Yes, I've had exactly this too! It's really frustrating as I started my claim at the beginning of July.
I was told this week that it was to do with complexities of the transition from 'Amazon Services Europe' to 'Amazon EU' that was preventing them from processing these requests currently. I don't really understand though, they've been processing these refunds for a couple of years now, how was this not considered previously? I just feel like I'm getting fobbed off!

Hi,
Yes i have had the exact same problem with being fobbed off with the same reason, 3 months now. Quick enough to take it from you but not to return it?? I have now escalated it to the powers to be and see what happens now but not holding my breath. Totally out of order.
Just stalling tactics so they can gain more interest on our money. Just like the 2 weekly payouts now.
