No price visible along all my products in search results on Amazon UK
I noticed that some time ago (no longer than few months) Amazon UK removed the pricing from the search results of some sellers including myself.
I’m guessing this is affecting basic sellers which are not on Professional monthly 25GBP plans, but I’m not 100% sure.
I’m just trying to get some explanation from Amazon Seller Support team, but their explanations are blurry. They tried first to tell me that this got something to do with Buy Box, but I know Buy Box is completely different thing and not really relevant to this issue.
When customer search on Amazon UK site using a keyword, then results comes out and based on initial photo, title and price customers are steered into clicking further to see product detail page.
If price is completely removed, this mislead customer which often skips my item as no price next to it may suggest product is out of stock for example. I see reduction of orders from UK market while this practise is not operating on Amazon German site, where the same ASIN has got price in search result.
I feel this is some UK site experimenting which working against basic sellers and put them in very disadvantageous position, that they cannot effectively compete with professional sellers.
This practise could be trying to force new sellers to go straight into paid plans.
There is no mention of this practise in the seller plan comparison on Amazon of what is and what isn’t included for basic sellers comparing to professionals.
I wondered if any of you experienced the same issue and managed to get Amazon to do something about it.
I feel that I’m losing business on Amazon UK platform rather than grow it, which is extremely frustrated.
I’m on the verge of filing complain, but wondered if anyone had any advise on this.
I feel intentional hiding price on the search results of my products is unfair and harming practise.
It’'s like displaying product on the shelf in conventional shop without price label next to others similar.
Obviously most people will skip it as no price giving them no benchmark to make quick purchase decision.
Does any of you basic seller have any thoughts or advise?

Seller_HMxMRdomHkjHi
I am a pro seller and my prices do not show, at a glance it looks unavailable. you have to click on to see the sellers and the prices. I only became aware of this at the weekend. I don’t know when the change took place, it does adversely affect sales

It’s been mentioned here:
This was my take on it:
It seems that Amazon have removed the visibility of all used offers on ASINs where no new copies are available.
This means a good chunk of the BMVD catalogue appears to be bereft of offers at first glance - search results are not showing the usual ‘xx used and new from these sellers’ links.
It’s only when you open the link on any given ASIN that the ‘hidden’ offers are revealed.
This is probably a glitch, but who knows? It seems to me that the only sellers helped by this are the usual dodgy dropshippers who list non-existence ‘new’ copies of duplicated ASINs, thus gaining the visibility currently denied to legit sellers.
I’m not sure it applies only to BMVD and/or used offers- there seems to be a wider issue with non-Prime items not featuring in search results

Hi Guys
Thanks for your comments.
I just got another response from Support team regarding this:
Quote:
Just to mention - I do not sell DVDs or books. I sell decoration product which yes, it is similar to other offered, but ASIN I have is my own and product registered under my own brand as I have designed it.
There are no other offers or sellers selling the exact same ASIN as mine, therefore I don’t understand why my product would be subject to Featured Offer Disqualification (FOD).
It’s all really bad smelling to me and while I’m having still some orders from German marketplace, I have much fewer from UK site, which seems relating to this very unfair price removal from search results. Concerning is that I sell 4 items, and all have price removed. None of them have other seller having the same product on offer - only one listed had ASIN already in Amazon catalogue when at the time I was adding it to my inventory.
That suggest that some limitation can be applied to the seller and market place - not individual products.
I will try to push Support Team further to understand more of it.
I do not like it and it has obvious advert impact on my sales.
Any thoughts on their response quoted guys?

I’m a bit surprised that this hasn’t been mentioned more often.
Amazon are still making it look like there are no available offers on products that Amazon itself is not selling.
This is in initial search results - prices and availability are displayed if you click on the ASIN, but I would assume that most potential buyers will assume there are no offers and will give up at the first hurdle.
If it is a glitch, it’s a long-running one.

Hi Guys
I’ve been bouncing with another seller support agents for days and didn’t get too far.
They keep telling me very poor information and trying to link it to Buy Box thing.
I don’t think it should be related with Buy Box - when I asked to show me where this is mentioned in the information - they never answered my question properly.
I was pushing and pushing and recently somebody at their end removed whole history of my enquiry and made it unable to follow up and continue.
I think they have enough of me on this subject - I asked how I can escalate this to make it a complain but nobody ever answer that aspect of my question.
I am really annoyed to be honest and I wondered how I can really get to some senior people who would escalate this and properly deal with it.
I have whole history of the conversation on email of course.
Does anyone know some reliable contact/email whatever to make a proper complain as a seller?
I will try to collate whole conversation into one document and share.
Please keep pushing them on this guys - these shouldn’t get away with that so easily.
They are experimenting on UK site (on German is not the case) to turn seller into Amazon Fulfillment or other paid services by adversely impacting current form of trade - I find it very unfair.

No update from me unfortunately…
Was too busy to even think of it recently.
What I’ve done though is I added price to the title of my Amazon product. I don’t care if they don’t like it.
I checked and have seen several products with price like this so I followed the idea and the amendment has been accepted so my product say the same plus “£23.99 + P&P”. Nobody from Amazon complained to me about it. Its not ideal but at least it sort of work as interim solution and customers can see my price in the name Good luck in your quest with seller support team.

Hi all,
to me it seems that happens when you are the only seller and no competitors on item.

I see I promised an update last June. Well, I never got even a reply, that’s all the update I can bring here.

Hi guys. I completely given up with this after Amazon seller support team removed History of my thread. Proper complain route does not exist either. My only advise is this. Go and amend your product name and add price to it. (I have put literally £19.99 + P&P) I had no issues from Amazon for doing it so far.
