Mediation Request Pending — No Response After 10 Business Days, No Case ID to Follow Up

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has faced a similar situation with the Mediation Request process. We submitted a mediation request regarding our account deactivation, and according to the official information, the mediation team is supposed to respond within 10 business days. However, we have now passed this timeframe and still have not received any reply.

We tried following up, but there’s no case ID linked to our mediation request, and there is no direct way to contact the mediation team. When we spoke to Seller Support, they told us that in practice, mediation responses can take about a month — but this is not clearly communicated anywhere on the page.

This lack of clarity is frustrating, especially since we are in a critical situation with our account and inventory. We would appreciate any advice from sellers who have been through this process:

How long did it take for you to receive a response?

Is there any alternative way to follow up or escalate a mediation request without a case ID?

Any tips on keeping pressure on the process without getting stuck in loops with Seller Support?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I've gone this route twice and they do not give a case ID, but they will respond. The timeline can be fuzzy, though.

The first time, I received a response with a link for a new ID verification call within - but nearing the end - of the 10 days. That was in early January. My account was automatically reinstated with no further communication within 24-hours of that call.

The second time was about 3 weeks ago for the exact same deactivation issue (long story for another day), and I did not receive any reply but my account was automatically reinstated on day 16 after submitting a mediation request.

The good news is that a real person with authority looks at your paperwork, and I found them to be extremely fair. All things considered, it is the most efficient process they have for sellers in panic mode and I was happy with it.
