Hi
We send out a few orders per week and mostly we send them by standard RM second class post, purchased through Amazon.
Occasionally we send a higher value order out via RM Tracked 24 but as we can't buy the shipping label through Amazon we mark the order as despatched after buying the shipping direct from RM.
A few days ago I input an incorrect tracking number against an order and of course it has been recorded as 'not scanned'. This has affected our performance rating quite a bit as we only send out 3 or 4 of these type of orders per month.
I've corrected the tracking number but the defect remains.
Does anyone know how to get Amazon to recheck the tracking number assigned to that order and see that it has been scanned? Is it even possible?
Thanks :)
Have you tried 'Edit Consignment' tab io your shipped orders page ? Input correct tracking, but if already delivered then am not sure it would make any difference. I doubt that just one error would affect your VTR that much.
I'm unsure if changing the consingment number after the fact does anything.
I think its a case of amazon will take your first answer. Its unlikely you'll be hit with issues for one error. However, might be worth being ready to supply a POA. It should be a simple one as its a case of entering an incorrect tracking number, and you can provide the correct one.
I had the same issue a couple of months ago where I got a digit wrong in the tracking number so my VTR went down to 80%. I corrected this on the customer order screen where the tracking number is held and my VTR updated a couple of days after back to 100%
I'm having similar issues. I used to do 2nd class track and sign, but I changed it to track 48, but now it is coming up invalid track number. Does anyone know if track 48 is recognised.
Kind regards
Michael
when you update the tracking number, it take 3 days or so for the VTR reports to detect the change and update.. we have done this several times and it always updates
Sorry, but Amazon take your first input, thats it.
Also be warned if its one of their faulty labels and you have to swap it for a different courier, if you try and cancel the first label you have to do it on the day the label is produced, not the next day once you've found out that its a dodgy label as that will say you were late sending the parcel yada yada
Amazon can do no wrong
